In a bid to strengthen the state’s administrative capabilities and ensure smooth policy implementation, Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of nine new Permanent Secretaries, two Principals-General, and four Headteachers-General in the public service of Ogun State.
The appointments, announced by State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya is in line with the provisions of Section 208 (c) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). The selected candidates were chosen based on merit, professionalism, inclusiveness, and cognate experience in the civil/public service of the state.
The new Permanent Secretaries are: Mr. Abdul-Azeez Oludare AJIDELE, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Yetunde SOYOYE-BAKER, Mrs. Adebimpe Foluso OBIENU, Dr. (Mrs.) Kafayat Modupe Lawal, Mr. Ahmed Bayo ADETONA, Mr. Idowu Oladapo ONASANYA, Mr. Olalekan Peter TAIWO, Mr. Akintomiwa Oluwagbeminiyi OSIBODU, and Engr. Kehinde Olukayode AKINTOMIDE.
The two new Principals-General are Mr. Matthew Adeyinka OSILESI (Remo Division) and Mr. Yakubu Olorunyomi LAMIDI (Ijebu Division), while the four Headteachers-General are Mr. Benjamin Olusegun ALONGE (Ijebu Division), Mrs. Aminat Folake BUSARI (Remo Division), Mr. Olusegun Nathaniel AKAPO (Yewa Division), and Mrs. Folake Omolara ONABANJO (Egba Division).
In a statement, Mr. Onasanya congratulated the new appointees and charged them to demonstrate dedication, devotion, and selflessness in their new roles, contributing to the developmental efforts of the state through the “_Building Our Future Together_” agenda of Governor Abiodun’s administration.
The swearing-in ceremony of the new appointees is expected to be conducted by Governor Abiodun soon.
