Nigerians from all walks of life in the diaspora and Canadians will today converge on Ontario, Canada, for the exciting opening ceremony of the 2025 Solteque Canada Trade Mission, a five-day event showcasing business, culture, and networking opportunities.
The convener of the programme, Chief Olawale Olaleye, the Bobawoga of Orílé-Ìtẹsi, explained that this year’s edition will focus on the promotion of cultural fabrics, real estate showcase, African cuisine, as well as financial and business networking sessions.
According to Chief Olaleye, the initiative is aimed at connecting Nigerian entrepreneurs and professionals with international markets while also promoting the country’s rich cultural heritage.
The event is being held at the Emerald Banquet Hall, 55 Guided Court, Etobicoke, ON M9V5G2, and will run until Friday, August 22, 2025.
In his words, the trade mission is more than a business gathering: “It is a platform to celebrate our identity, strengthen economic ties, and foster collaborations that will impact both Nigeria and the diaspora positively.”
Dignitaries, business leaders, and cultural ambassadors are expected to grace the occasion, which promises to be one of the most significant diaspora trade missions of the year.
