Remo, Ogun State — As the 2025 elections approach, a prominent son of Remo, Otunba Otambala Oduyomi Obafemi, has declared his intention to represent the Remo Federal Constituency under the platform of the National Rescue Movement (NRM). Speaking on his political vision, Otunba Obafemi promised to implement the full manifesto of the NRM to rescue the people of his constituency from longstanding challenges and create sustainable empowerment structures.
“If I am fortunate to emerge as the representative of Remo Federal Constituency, I will begin immediate implementation of our party’s manifesto to address the pressing needs of our people,” he said. “My goal is to build unshakable empowerment initiatives that will restore dignity and confidence in our party and give hope to the youth and women of our land.”
A firm believer in grassroots development, Otunba Obafemi has been an active participant in Youth Empowerment Programmes across the state. His efforts were recently recognized when he was honored with a Certificate of Patronage by the Man O’ War, Ogun State Chapter.
Otunba Obafemi’s political journey is rooted in transparency, integrity, and purposeful leadership. Over the years, he has served in various leadership capacities across political parties. During the administration of Otunba Gbenga Daniel, he was appointed to the Board of Directors at the Ministry of Produce, Agriculture, and Environment, a role he executed with diligence.
In a previous political dispensation, Otunba Obafemi was the flagbearer of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) for Remo Federal Constituency, showing consistent dedication to public service and constituency development.
