A shocking tale of ritual killings has unfolded in Rivers State, where four suspects have been arrested for the brutal murder of two 7-year-old sisters, Chizaram Onuche and Chidinma Onuche.
The victims were allegedly lured and drugged before being slaughtered and dismembered for money rituals.
According to Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, the suspects, including a native doctor, were arrested by the Ant-Kidnapping Unit. Aniekan Uko, 27, a native of Akwa Ibom State, was identified as the mastermind behind the gruesome killings.
Uko allegedly used a drink known as Black Bullet to sedate the children before collecting their blood in a bottle.
Investigations revealed that Uko was introduced to ritual killings by a native doctor, Kingsley Opurum, 43, who instructed him to provide human body parts and blood for a wealth-enhancing ritual.
Opurum was arrested on March 23, along with Uko’s girlfriend and Friday Silas, 47, who allegedly allowed the killings to take place in his uncompleted building.
The police recovered several incriminating items from the crime scene, including photographs of unidentified individuals, a bottle filled with the minor’s blood, an empty can of Black Bullet drink, and a spoon used to scoop the blood of the victims.
The bodies of the children have been deposited at the morgue for an autopsy, and the Commissioner of Police in Rivers has assured the public that the perpetrators will be prosecuted.
