In a swift response to the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, operatives of the Lagos State CP Special Squad have arrested two suspects linked to the kidnapping of Mrs. Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu. The suspects, Agbojule Smart, 27, and Keleke Michael, 30, were apprehended in the early hours of Friday, January 24, 2025, while attempting to flee Lagos State.
Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to being part of a four-man gang, with two members previously neutralized. The police recovered N2,250,000, part of the requested ransom, as well as two locally fabricated rifles and 11 live cartridges from the suspects. The IGP commended the police operatives for their gallantry and encouraged them to maintain their high standard of competence in the fight against crime.
