Ogun State Chief Judge Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, FICMC, FHNR has disclosed that Safe Home to handle matters relating to and temporarily house,victims of domestic violence,sexual assaults and related cases will soon be commissioned at Ilaro in the Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State.
His Lordship disclosed this during the visit of the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Mr. Lanre Ogunlowo to the Chief Judge at the State Judiciary Complex, Abeokuta on Tuesday, 14th January, 2025.
The Chief Judge noted that women and child protection matters have become more imperative going by the high rate of abuse in this respect.
Justice Dipeolu who identified with the Police on their importance in the execution of judgements and protection of lives and properties urged the State new Police Commissioner to address the issue of delay in the execution of Court Judgments.
The Chief Judge further implored the State Police Command to properly file its cases at the appropriate jurisdiction to avert unnecessary delays.
While welcoming the new Commissioner of Police to the Gateway State, the Chief Judge also congratulated the State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola on her elevation to the position of Chief Superintendent of Police {CSP}.
Earlier, CP Ogunlowo who applauded the Chief Judge for her style of leadership in the State Judiciary noted that his visit to Chief Judge was to seek guidance from the temple of justice on how to keep the State safe and further strengthen the already established cordial working relationship between two Organisations.
In the entourage of the Commissioner of Police were DCP Bode Ojajumi, DCP Bolanle Muritala, CSP Sunday Ekong and State PPRO, Omolola Odutola.
