In a heartwarming display of gratitude and giving back to the community, Mr. Funsho, an indigene of Remo North Local Government, has built a hostel in Isara, Remo, for high institution students to rent. Mr. Funsho, who currently resides in Kenya, returned to his hometown to commission the hostel and deliver an appreciation speech.
During his speech, Mr. Funsho reminisced about his childhood in Isara, where he attended Wesley School. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Isara who supported him during his formative years. Mr. Funsho revealed that he had always dreamed of making a positive impact in his hometown, particularly in the local government, to contribute to its development.
Hon. Muyiwa Sodade, Executive Chairman of Remo North Local Government, praised Mr. Funsho’s efforts, stating that the hostel has brought development to the town. He seized the opportunity to encourage other indigenes of Isara Remo in the diaspora to follow Mr. Funsho’s example and invest in their hometown.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by reverends and pastors who offered prayers for the hostel. Guests were also treated to a meal, celebrating the occasion. Mr. Funsho’s gesture is a testament to his commitment to giving back to the community that nurtured him.
