Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has presented cars to six outstanding civil servants in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the state’s public service. The presentation took place during the “Governor’s Lunch With Outstanding Officers” at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Ikeja on Friday ¹.
The six awardees were selected from a pool of 210 civil servants, comprising 117 senior and 93 junior officers. Governor Sanwo-Olu applauded the civil servants for their dedication and doggedness, stating that they are the best in the country. During the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu shared his encounter with some elderly citizens who praised the civil servants for their outstanding work. He encouraged the awardees to continue reflecting excellence in their work, emphasizing that “the reward for hard work is more work.”
The governor also took the opportunity to highlight the excellence of the Lagos State civil service, stating that it is ahead of the federal civil service in terms of performance. He urged the civil servants to continue holding their heads high and striving for excellence.
