
Itoko, Ogun State, was filled with joy and celebration as Venerable John Okanlawon Sofoluwe marked his 70th birthday. Born on December 9, 1954, Venerable Sofoluwe has dedicated his life to serving God and humanity.
The celebration, held at the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Keesi, Abeokuta, was attended by dignitaries, including four bishops. Notable bishops in attendance included Bishop Adekunle of Egba Diocese and Bishop Ogundeji of Egba West Diocese.

Family members, including children and grandchildren, joined to celebrate their patriarch. The presentation by the children and Sunday School alumni was the highlight of the event. Chaseman, a Sunday school alumnus, gave an idea for mimicking memory verses, which stole the show and was deeply emotional for the celebrant.And with well-delivered presentation by Ashanty (Sola Fadipe) to the celebrate made the occasion truly remarkable.
Although his wife, Opeoluwa Olaide Sofoluwe, was unable to attend in person, she made a significant contribution to the celebration with a heartfelt message and numerous gifts.
In their goodwill messages, the bishops and other speakers eulogized Venerable Sofoluwe, highlighting his impact on the lives of many through his children’s ministry and notable contributions while serving as a zonal inspector in the Ogun State Ministry of Education.

The celebration was a testament to Venerable Sofoluwe’s enduring legacy and the impact he has had on his community.
