The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Ogun State Command, joined the entire Nigeria Police Force in honoring the National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, for his outstanding leadership and resilience. The celebration, held on November 22, 2024, at Sweet Estate Event Center in Abeokuta, brought together prominent figures, including TAMPAN President Mr. Bolaji Amusan (Mr. Latin) and Commissioner of Police CP Alamutu.
Alhaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, who is the first southerner to emerge as the National Chairman of the PCRC since its creation in 1984, has been described as a visionary leader. He has been praised for his mobility and productivity, which have taken the PCRC to new heights, both within and outside Nigeria.
The Ogun State Chairman of the PCRC, Venerable Dr. Kunle Popoola, described Alhaji Olaniyan as a “Great Leader” who has made significant contributions to the PCRC in Nigeria. “We are not just celebrating you for celebrating sake; we are celebrating achievements, resilience, breakthroughs, and all that you have shown in all you have done in the Nigeria PCRC,” he said.
The National Vice Chairman of the PCRC, South-South, Deacon Kenneth Osniyo, praised Alhaji Olaniyan’s leadership and mentorship, which have led to the tremendous success of the PCRC. “He’s the one who, for the first time, took PCRC to the international space,” he said.
Apostle Kehinde Sowemimo, the Lagos State Chairman of the PCRC, described Alhaji Olaniyan as a God-fearing man, a wonderful man, and an extremely humble leader. “He knows how to manage people, how to detect talent, and how to make use of them,” he said.
Comrade Ambassador Oliver Iyefia, the Chairman of the PCRC in Delta State, praised Alhaji Olaniyan’s leadership skills, describing him as a capacity builder with different skills and talents for bringing people together for common purposes.
In his response, Alhaji Olaniyan expressed gratitude to the PCRC Ogun State Command and to the entire PCRC members in Nigeria. “I appreciate everyone for celebrating me,” he said.
The celebration was a testament to Alhaji Olaniyan’s leadership and achievements as the National Chairman of the PCRC. His dedication and commitment to the PCRC have not gone unnoticed, and he continues to be a shining example of leadership excellence in Nigeria.
