Owo, Ondo State – Ayodeji Emmanuel Akinnodi, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) gubernatorial candidate in Ondo State, has warned residents to reject vote-buying and money bag politics in the November 16, 2024 election.
During a courtesy visit in Owo, Akinnodi emphasized that politics should prioritize people’s welfare, not personal gain. “Politics is no longer business as usual,” he stressed.
Akinnodi’s plea resonated with the community, who expressed frustration with the current state of affairs. Elders and youths reaffirmed their commitment to voting for competence and character.
“We don’t need politicians’ money,” they said. “We want water, good roads, employment, and affordable education. We want a young and vibrant leader like you as our governor.”
Akinnodi outlined his administration’s goals, promising to improve the standard of living in Ondo State. “We will provide security, good water supply, and develop road infrastructure,” he assured.
He also vowed to construct, renovate, and equip schools and hospitals, tackling the state’s pressing developmental challenges.
The ADP candidate’s message resonated with residents, who praised his courage in speaking out against vote-buying. “We need leaders who will prioritize our needs,” said a community elder.
Akinnodi’s anti-vote-buying stance has garnered attention across the state, with many calling it a breath of fresh air. “This is the kind of leadership we need,” said a youth leader.
As the November 16 election approaches, Akinnodi’s campaign continues to gain momentum. Residents are urged to make informed decisions and shun vote-buying.
The Ondo State governorship election is expected to be highly contested, with Akinnodi’s ADP posing a strong challenge to incumbent parties.
