A potentially disastrous accident occurred in Imasayi, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, when a fully loaded Dangote Cement Plc truck swerved off the road and crashed into a residential building.
The incident happened in the dead of night, while residents were asleep. Fortunately, the occupants of the house, who were sleeping in the parlour, narrowly escaped being crushed. The house is located just a few meters away from the former residence of the Olu of Imasayi.

Oba Lukman Kuoye, the Olu of Imasayi, expressed gratitude that no lives were lost in the incident. In a statement, he said, “A fully loaded Dangote Cement Plc truck swerved into a house in Imasayi yesterday night, thank God no lives were lost.”
The monarch called for calm and urged residents not to take the law into their own hands. He assured that efforts are underway to investigate the root cause of the accident.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the factors that contributed to the crash. The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the driving practices of heavy goods vehicle operators, particularly those working for Dangote Cement Plc.
