Nigerian crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been arrested and transferred to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Lagos.
According to reports, Bobrisky was arrested by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Seme border while attempting to exit the country. The Service described Bobrisky as a person of interest over recent issues of public concern.
Bobrisky spent the night in a cell at the police facility and was later transferred to the FCID Annex for safekeeping. The spokesperson for the FCID, Lagos, Mayegun Aminat, confirmed Bobrisky’s detention.
Bobrisky is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action. The police are awaiting further directives regarding Bobrisky’s case.
The spokesperson for the NIS, Kenneth Udo, confirmed Bobrisky’s arrest, stating that the Service intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky, at the Seme border.
The news of Bobrisky’s arrest has generated mixed reactions from the public, with some expressing shock and others praising the authorities for taking action.
Bobrisky remains in detention at the FCID Alagbon, awaiting further action. The case is ongoing, and more updates will be provided as necessary.
