The All Progressive Congress (APC) Campaign Council has vehemently condemned a malicious and fabricated viral video and photograph targeting Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
According to a statement signed by Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, Chairman of the Strategy & Development Communication Committee, the council described the act as reprehensible and detrimental to democratic values.
The APC Campaign Council confirmed that the photograph in question is not that of Governor Aiyedatiwa, and the allegations made against him are utterly false. The council urged the public to disregard the content.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership style has been characterized as calm and composed, focusing on infrastructural development, workers’ welfare, and youth employment opportunities. Contrary to fabricated claims, he has not traveled out of the country since assuming office.
Since his inauguration on December 27, 2023, Governor Aiyedatiwa has established himself as a workers-friendly governor. His commitment to delivering democracy’s dividends to all Ondo State citizens remains unwavering.
The APC Campaign Council called on the electorate to reject this vile propaganda and focus on real issues affecting the state. They stand by Governor Aiyedatiwa’s proven track record of leadership and service.
The council warned those responsible for the malicious video to cease their destructive actions, emphasizing that spreading falsehoods and inciting hatred harms democracy. They demanded accountability and urged law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute the perpetrators.
Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson stressed the importance of elevating political discourse and prioritizing citizens’ welfare. He invited the public to join the APC Campaign Council in rejecting baseless propaganda and embracing a constructive campaign focused on issues that truly matter.
